Welcome Back Everyone,
Well…we made it through another teacher workweek, and now it’s time for the rubber to meet the road as we eagerly await the arrival of our students tomorrow morning. Hopefully your “Night Before First Day of School” nightmares won’t be too nerve-racking! We recently ran across this article and thought it was full of great reminders, so as you ease into this new school year, we hope you all will remain focused on #whatmatters. Sadly, our school community has already experienced tremendous tragedy and sadness this weekend, but in typical CSD fashion, we have been humbled to watch everyone rally and come together to wrap fellow family members in love and compassion during their time of need. This is exactly what CSD is all about – community and relationships. Yes, the teaching and learning of “academics” are certainly important, but in the end, Dr. Boyer nailed it. It really is about helping each child build a life as if it were a work of art. The impact you have on the children you serve knows no limits. Thank you for going above and beyond in the name of what’s best for kids and for working to make our school community one that our children will strive to emulate in their later years. It’s going to be a GREAT school year, and we are excited and honored to be on this journey with you! MAY THE FORCE BE WITH US ALL!
